O/P. 156 pages, frontis., reprinted 1961. South-East Lancashire was a centre of the metal trade and Peter Stubbs, who is best known as a file maker, was also an innkeeper. The Stubbs business purchased cast steel from Sheffield and using a large number of outworkers made files and other hand tools. The tools were sold to customers, including watch and clockmakers, in Britain, Europe and America. An excellent copy with very good dust jacket. (Ref: K1531)
