O/P. 83 pages, 19 drawings. 1994. A set of drawings and instructions to make a replica of the case and dial of an 18th century longcase clock by Johan Nicolaÿ Horneman of Horsens, Denmark. O/P. 280 pages, illustrated 1993. John Benjamin Dancer, of Liverpool and Manchester, was a maker of scientific instruments and a photographic pioneer. Dancer is also famous for his microscopic photographs ('microphotographs') which were very popular in Victorian times and are avidly collected by microscope enthusiasts today. This book is a comprehensive guide to the subject and illustrates most of the 512 microphotographs made by Dancer and his successor Richard Suter. A fine copy in very good cloth covered slipcase. O/P. 395 pages, illustrated, 1983. George Friedrich Brander was an eminent Augsburg instrument maker, he supplied instruments to the courts of St. Petersburg, Paris and Vienna.
