 | Emerson (W.): Dialling. Or the Art of Drawing Dials, on All Sorts of Planes Whatsoever O/P. iv, 164 pages, 18 folding plates, [London, 1770]. The book has 3 sections dealing with the fundamental principles and practice of dialling and the construction of useful dials, with many worked examples. This copy is missing pages 157 - 160 (worked examples IX & X on section 3), otherwise it's a very good clean copy with good plates, trivial staining and trivial spotting to a few pages, in a good recent half leather binding with raised bands on spine. I believe this book was originally published as part of a larger work hence the publisher, place and date of publication are not given - hovever the only edition was published in 1770, in London by J. Nourse.
