The book opens with essays on Clocks and Society, Clockmaking in Eighteenth-Century America, Clocks and Clock Shops, and Clock Cases in the American Colonies, followed by descriptions and illustration of 100 fine clocks and biographies of their makers. The clocks illustrated are mainly tallcase clocks, the remainder are spring driven bracket clocks and weight driven clocks for shelf or pedestal.

William Bond Astronomical Regulator 365
