O/P. 366 pages, illustrated, 1992. An excellent work describing and illustrating the Time Museum's collection of 157 precision timekeepers, mostly with spring detent escapements, one or two with lever escapements and a George Daniels watch with his double wheel 'independent' escapement. This work is an excellent reference and includes examples by Mudge, Arnold, Earnshaw, Berthoud, Breguet and Motel to name a few. The list of known Earnshaw chronometers and their double numbering system is very useful for dating Earnshaw's work. A guide to dating Ulysse Nardin chronometers is also given. Essential reading for chronometer enthusiasts. A fine copy. (Ref: K570 - G4)
