Morgan (H.): Price List of Watches, Clocks, Jewellery, Electroplate, Challenge and Presentation Cups, Cutlery, Musical Instruments, Bicycles, etc., Sold by H. Morgan, Watch and Clock Maker, Jeweller, Park House Blaengarw [South wales] O/P. 44 pages, illustrated, no date. A catalogue, with prices, issued by Howell Morgan of Park House Blaengarw, a small coalmining community in Glamorgan South Wales, circa 1900. Morgan sold English, Swiss and American Watches, American clocks, as well as jewellery, electro-plated tableware, barometers, musical instruments and bicycles. Catalogues such as this rarely survive, and give an insight into what was sold by a typical trader at the start of the 20th century. A good copy, the pages a little browned with age, the paper covers worn around the edges with small area of loss to rear cover. A rare item. (Ref: K1742) Price: £20.00 |
