Regency Sewing Table c1810

A Regency sewing table of well figured mahogany with rectangular top and ebony stringing to the sides.

The top has rounded corners with a reeded edge. The table has a deep oak lined drawer at each end under which is a fixed pleated silked sewing box. Access to the sewing box is by removal of either drawer.

The table stands on four ring turned, tapering legs which terminate in their original brass castors.

Sewing box and drawer brass handles replaced.
