Ulysse Nardin, Locle, Switzerland c1943A silver cased Admiralty deck watch, signed on the enamel dial Ulysse Nardin Locle Suisse 122660. The watch is held in a brass drum, shaped to house the watch, with a brass screw on bezel with convex glass. The watch is housed in its original 2-tier mahogany deck box. The deck box has a label holder to the inside of the lid for holding the Chronometer Depot issue card. |

The white enamel dial, 2 inches in diameter, is graduated at 0.2 second intervals and has a centre seconds hand. The hands are of blued steel. There are pictures of the deck watch movment, its silver case and the mahogany deck box on the next page. |

Ulysse Nardin, a Swiss firm famous for its marine chronometers supplied many deck watches to the British Navy during World War II. The national Maritime Museum at Greenwich has several of these watches including Ulysse Nardin serial numbers 121862 and 123023 both of which are very similar to this example. Stock No: C1050 |
